I'm currently planning a manuél transmission swap for my V6 Cammo, (aka El Camry, aka Salty Guido Mobile, aka Racecam) along with the Eibach suspension bits and sway bars, just because I feel like if its all I have for a little while, I might as well make it fun. Plus, the torquey V6 with the manual should make it feel much quicker, at the very least. (
Note: Fact that Girlfriend just got a 2015 WRX has probably motivated me to at least make my car slightly Jalop, since I can't sell my car right now)
Here are the plans so far, with part numbers. I think I have everything.
V6 Camry/ES300 owners (ahem, Takuro & Sir Orlove), how do the beigemobile's fair with a stick shift?

I wonder, Camrys actually came with manuals till 2011, (2010-2011 had a six speed) although they stopped equiping them on V6's in 2001.
I'd be swapping in the shifter assembly from the 4cyl 5 speed of my Gen 5 Camry (02-06)

Very easy to clutch in from a start with very little throttle. Kind of car you teach someone to drive stick on, it's very slick. I took one to 120 mph once (on a closed course of course)

Perfect, this means I can teach my girlfriend on it without too much issue.
And, impressive. I assume you're a professional driver from those commercials too?
